Maryborough Rally.

We are parked up at the rally without about 860?? other motorhomes.  Spread out all over the Showgrounds. There are some big rigs here, some really weird and wonderful as well.   There are a lot for sale ranging from $660,000 down to about $22,000.   Something for everyones budget and size We have a pretty good spot, on grass, 5 mins walk from just about everything so we aren't complaining.    So far its been a pretty good rally.   Today is Friday, and its the very first time that we have had a minute to actually walk around the site and check out the motorhomes.  In saying that, we are concentrating only on the big rigs.     We have trawled the trade stands, done some seminars, had communal morning teas and happy hours, caught up with old friends and made some new ones.   Our nightly entertainment so far is 10/10.    Two completely different comedians, one Rodney Vincent, we had the pleasure of seeing at our Numurkah Rally.  He is a really good singer, has sung with the Delltones, toured and written songs with Gene Pitney.   But his humor is cheeky, irreverent and there wasn't a dry eye in the place as he had everyone in tears of laughter.   We had recommended him to everyone we spoke to, and he didn't disappoint.    Another night we had a Neil Diamond tribute band and even though I don't like the music, they were really good.   Wednesday night we had a trivia night, our table wasn't the brightest, but we had some fun and spent it in good company.  Ron & Kerrie, from Brisbane are friends we met in 2011 on the big trip and whom have stayed with us in Melton,  their friends Max & Christine, who hail from sunny Mt. Dandenong, and Ros and Tony.    Tonight is country music.  I don't think we will bother.   We are hosting a pretty big happy hour tonight, so by the time that is finished I think we will stay put and enjoy the quiet.

Well the top photo is of an American rv.  Looks so much like the front of a ship that they have given it a ships name.  For sale for $220,000 plus.   So ugly, you wouldn't want it.    Next up is the Swagman, 2nd hand, $660,000.   Third up is a Swagman, which we really liked, bought at Grays Online when Swagman went bust.   Fourth, and the picture isn't great is a double decker motorhome with a matching trailer.   To the left of the photo is his helicopter that he stows in the trailer.  An American.  He has one back in the States as well.   He does videos, movies etc. and is filming around the rally for a series on the Discovery Channel.

We have had terrific weather so far up until last night when during the start of the evenings entertainment it started to rain, then pour, then bucket down.   I made a beeline for the bus to close up the windows and hatches.   Got soaked myself, but the bus was nice and dry inside.   Had an inch of rain overnight, its sunny but threatening this afternoon.
