Dig Tree to Betoota - 307kms.

Bacon & Egg Brekkie.  Tony, Carol (travelling in a Winnebago Longreach) and Judith (travelling in a Sunliner)   We are the 5 amigos as we have been together virtually since we arrived in Broken Hill.   Travelling mostly in convoy together and camping up alongside each other.    Absolutely lovely travel companions.  Lots of fun and laughter shared.
Off to the Betoota Racecourse.   More dust, more flies and our toilet in the motorhome has decided not to work.    Bugger it.   At least our camp spots have toilets, sometimes just a long drop and others quite decent.

This is the old Betoota Pub.   Its deserted now.   The guy that owns it, has tried to keep it locked up tight, but every day, people get into it and check it out.    It was really fascinating. We spent so much time here that we were asked to leave by our tail enders, the sweeps, who wanted to get us on the road again

The dust was so bad that we actually took almost 2 hours at this camp spot just getting the dust out.   It was absolutely disgusting.   We simply could not have gone to sleep or cooked in the bus until it was "clean".   Above is our bedside tables and our stove top.
