We have been camped up for a few days at a private property. Fellow Motorhome Club members, Ron & Kerry, have a 40 acre farm nestled in the Perth foothills, 65 kms from the City. It is pure bliis. Peaceful, beautiful scenery and a lovely couple, kind enough to allow their property to be used for some free camping.
We parked the bus in one of the paddocks, a former horse menage. We were kept company by some VW Combis, all pretty stuffed, but some quite rare. Just waiting for the owner to come and take them away to restore them to their former glory. Ron and Kerry, run sheep and have 5 Llamas. We were watching Rons 70 y.o. mate, a fit bloke, shearing the lambs, when we saw the Llamas getting down and dirty. Apparently mating can go on and on for hours. Not sure how successful this guy was, but she didnt seem too concerned by the attention.
The views from the front of our hosts verandah. Rolling hills, natural bush, fields of pasture, flowers galore, kangaroos grazing, it was just perfect. |
