Shell Beach on the way to Denham

This beach comprises totally of shells, no sand in sight.  It stretches some 60kms. is about 1km in width and the shells here are  10M deep.    Its beautiful to look at especially from a distance, the shells look like stunning white sand.  A bugger to walk on but.
No bare feet on this beach. They actually quarry the shells.  There is a quarry site on the beach and we also visited the site of a very old quarry where you can see how they cut squares of solid shell blocks out and used them to construct buildings in the area.  We visited an old Telegraph station, a church, and a restaurant, all built from shell, in the 1800s.
